JJohn jamesOHN R. JAMES is a Certified Financial Planner® practitioner, a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ and a licensed Advocate of Protected Tomorrows®, Inc. He has been serving individual and business owner clients for over 40 years. Originally from Eastern Washington, the first twenty years of his career were spent as a commercial banker. He has worked in the financial services industry since 1987. He earned his CFP® in 1986 and his CDFA™ in 2007.
 
John has been involved with a regional non-profit foundation, Northwest Baptist Foundation, for more than 20 years. He has served directly both as a board member and as the interim Executive Director. This experience has given him expertise in the areas of planned giving, endowments and estate planning. He currently is a member of the East King County Estate Planning Council, the Seattle chapter of the Financial Planning Association and is involved with the establishment and operation of the Northwest Compassion Foundation as a trustee and officer. He is asked by a number of King County organizations to speak and give presentations on a regular basis.

John’s specialty is providing order in the midst of confusion and disarray. While doing this, he provides clients a high level of customer service typical of a “concierge” style. Care is taken to understand dreams and goals while assisting families looking to and planning for the future. The diversity of John’s professional and volunteer experience has prepared him well to service his client’s various needs.

John and his wife, Marge, live in Ephrata, WA, and John also conducts business at his office in Kirkland, WA. He is a licensed Advocate of Protected Tomorrows, Inc. and he is a registered representative of Securities Service Network, Inc.
